20 Feb 2007 // After newspapers reported that the political appointees at the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) were removing scientist’s conclusions about global warming from government reports, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for documents related to global warming and the preparation of the government reports. When the CEQ failed to provide all the responsive documents, CREW filed suit to compel their production.
