11 Jun 2007 // Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed suit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a component of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, for failure to fulfill a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for copies of all complaints filed by any individual within any office of the IRS that mention or relate to CREW of its executive director, Melanie Sloan. CREW filed the FOIA request on March 21, 2007.
